My cricket team, who I first played for back in 1989! 

But, I suspect I have played my last game (vs. Harptree Villages CC) 😞.  The ring finger of my right hand was badly broken back in July 2023 (At Ipsden CC), and I did not play for the rest of that season. I had surgery for the break in April 2024, and did not play that season either. In 2025 I played 8 games (including 2 on the tour to Bristol), but after 5 of those games I was injured (either pulled muscles in my thighs, or very sore right knee). 

Basically - I got old! If I were to play again I would be constantly worried that I was about to injure myself - and that would mean I would be unlikely to enjoy the game. I'm going to miss it, but I strongly suspect - It's time to stop.
